Welcome to "THE MUD MASTERS" website!

We are a privately owned/operated complete Drywall & Plaster reconstruction company located out of Marengo, Iowa. Ed (muddy) has worked in drywall off & on since the early 80's he is self taught through trials and errors and the school of hard knocks with both Drywall & Plaster materials. However the company name was formed on April 1, 1995 after a friend from Ed's ex print factory job had made the comment while finishing his drywall for him, "Ed that really looks great, you are the master" "THE MUD MASTER" it stuck and the company was formed.

The name was changed to "THE MUD MASTERS" and has been in existence since 2002. We are an Insured & Registered company. We also work hand in hand with the Habitat for Humanity out of Iowa City. We love working with this group of very dedicated & hard working people.

Our focus: "quality" plain and simple. We strive for quality. We use some of the best techniques and finishing products available on the market today. Why? To avoid costly call backs and complaints. As our work load increases, we will pull from a pool of additional workers to get the job done in a professional and timely manner.

Our company "THE MUD MASTERS" prides itself on the quality aspects of the trade. We DO NOT use sub quality materials or labor, so that the job will be done right the first time. We also pay close attention to the small details.

Muddy's Drywall Creed

We are talented Drywall Artists in our trade. We do what the common man can not do, Our work can be & is brutal. Our Drywall is & can be a Illusional. We can make a POS room look beautiful. We can make it look so easy. All of our muscles are trained to not hurt any more. We can skim coat 5gals. of mud in 20 mins. We would rather be 2 foot off the ground than on our knees. We can run 500' of tape in 10 mins. We can sling mud with minimal sanding. We preform aerial acts of courage on planks/buckets & scaffolds. We can shoot a straight line with our eye. And we can have all of this done by 2pm. A lot of GC's & HO's want to beat us down to the bottom of the pricing rung. We as DRYWALL PROFESSIONALS are not the HACKS. Why do we put up with it? because WE LOVE THE CHALLENGE & GRATIFICATION & WE ARE DAMN PROUD OF WHAT WE CAN DO & MORE PROUD TO LIVE IN AMERICA!
